Weight Management
The majority of my clients are interested in weight loss and the ongoing control
of their weight. Most of us have tried several diets and tend to be surprised when
they don’t work or we gain more weight after the diet.
Well, the news is…diets really don’t work! There are so many fad diets designed
to help us achieve rapid weight loss. This means that we lose weight quite quickly
but we’re mostly losing water and some muscle, and very little fat. When we stop
the diet our bodies aren’t able to adapt quickly enough and we end up gaining more
weight.
The way to lose fat and keep it off is to work on a programme that looks at your
approach to and relationship with food. Rather than a ‘quick-fix’ diet, we’ll start
by making small changes that you can sustain and build on over time as part of lifestyle
changes.
The optimum way to achieve ongoing weight control is to combine it with a regular
exercise programme.
